Program description

RTP Personal Alerts is an automated notification service operated by Robert Travis Pierce, sole proprietor, for his own use. It sends text-message alerts generated by privately operated home-monitoring and email-monitoring systems — for example, a vehicle arriving in the driveway, motion detected at an entry, a message received from a monitored sender, or a scheduled backup that failed to run.

This program has a single recipient: the account owner. It is not offered to the public, there is no subscriber list, and no third party can enrol in it. There is no marketing, promotional, or commercial content of any kind.

How consent is obtained

The account owner is the only recipient. He opts in by entering his own mobile number into the notification system’s configuration, which presents this consent statement:

“I agree to receive automated SMS alerts from Robert Pierce at this number, including property monitoring, watched-sender email, and backup job notifications. Fewer than ten messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.”

Consent was given on 10 September 2026 and confirmed by one-time-passcode verification of that same number during sole proprietor brand registration with the messaging provider. Messages are sent only to that verified number. No other person can subscribe: there is no web form, paper form, QR code, or keyword opt-in, and the destination number is fixed in the account owner’s private configuration.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and is event-driven rather than scheduled. Typical volume is fewer than ten messages per month. Message frequency may increase during a period of unusual activity, such as a monitoring system fault.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Any charges are those of the recipient’s mobile carrier under the recipient’s own plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. No further messages will be sent to that number. Opting out may also be done by disabling the sending system directly.
