Program description

RTP Personal Alerts is an automated notification service operated by Robert Travis Pierce, sole proprietor, for his own use. It sends text-message alerts generated by privately operated home-monitoring and email-monitoring systems — for example, a vehicle arriving in the driveway, motion detected at an entry, a message received from a monitored sender, or a scheduled backup that failed to run.

This program has a single recipient: the account owner. It is not offered to the public, there is no subscriber list, and no third party can enrol in it. There is no marketing, promotional, or commercial content of any kind.

How consent is obtained

The account owner consented by registering his own mobile number with the messaging provider and completing one-time-passcode verification of that number. Messages are sent only to that verified number.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and is event-driven rather than scheduled. Typical volume is fewer than ten messages per month. Message frequency may increase during a period of unusual activity, such as a monitoring system fault.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Any charges are those of the recipient’s mobile carrier under the recipient’s own plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. No further messages will be sent to that number. Opting out may also be done by disabling the sending system directly.
